For 10 days from 10/15 to 10/25! We will hold an exhibition by two artists of bamboo light and ink painting.

We are pleased to announce a two-person exhibition by Yoshie Yokoyama, a bamboo light artist, and Ryuzen, an ink painter, at Japanese modern N6 Kita Maruyama.
A special space where light and ink, different expressions meet and resonate with each other. Please enjoy the "creation of harmony" from Hokkaido with all your senses.

Exhibiting Artists
Yoshie Yokoyama
Lives and works in Hokkaido. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, he started to support local communities through bamboo lighting. He has been involved in staging bamboo lighting throughout Japan to support reconstruction efforts and revitalize local communities. Currently, he also serves as the representative director of the Japan Furoshiki Culture Association, and is making efforts to promote furoshiki as a useful tool for disaster prevention and environmental education. He is currently developing activities to connect traditional culture to social practice.
Ryuzen
Born in Hokkaido and currently resides in Sapporo. Influenced by Inazo Nitobe's Bushido, he began his career as an ink painter in 2009. Drawing powerful motifs such as dragons, he has dedicated his works to shrines and temples throughout Japan. Through solo exhibitions and workshops in Japan and abroad, he has been presenting works that combine traditional Suiboku-ga techniques with his unique spirituality.
